talked about two uncles who lived in Waterloo Cottage in Wales
Broke ankle as child whilst lerning to walk. Grandma Partridge (who was an aunt on Williams side) used to take her a lot, then actually brought her up as her own, probably in Altofts. Job and Hannah Partridge found in 1901 census in Altofts.

     8 Charles Street Altofts (at time of marriage). Lived with Relative (Thomas) in Altofts as father William was dead. Recorded in 1881 census in Church Rd. Marriage certificate gives address as Charles St Altofts. 1901 Census living at 8 Scott St Altofts with Wife Mary and Son Emanuel aged 2. Was believed to have been first person to take automated coal mining machinery into Wales and was disliked for this by the Welsh. Living at 21 Park Row Normanton in 1934 and Colliery Deputy. Was very musical, leading colliery choir. Played violin and organ.
